Dreamer No 27/100 - woodland critters and greenery and doilies and teeny tiny little flowers, perfect for the sweetest nursery 🌿🐻🌸.

Dreamer No 26/100: A little matching dreamer to go with No 25. Swipe to see the two together! ⠀⠀

Dreamer No. 25/100 is a little 3" adorable mess of lace and feathers and modern pastels. I made this one and immediately wanted to make 100 of them 😍. These colors are very "nursery" to me (albeit a very pretty and modern nursery), but a slight change or two would make this perfect for any room or event. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What other colors would you want to see these dreamers in?

I've lived my whole life close to the water and I feel its pull on my heart and soul every day, so Dreamer No. 24/100 is really special to me. This was commissioned as a piece based on Dreamer No 8 (from this project) in shape, but with inspiration derived from the ocean 🌊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The dowel is a piece of foraged driftwood from a Pacific Northwest beach, the feathers are reminiscent of those of seabirds, a beachy twine accents the feathers and the hoop, the webbing is made from twine with a ribbon of silver in it to reflect light like the water and small rock-like beads are intertwined in the yarns to catch the light as well, and the colors were chosen to feel like the way the water often carries a gradient of color as light and depth change.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you feel that same connection to the water too? Do you feel it reflected in your art and life?

Color bursts and greenery for Dreamer No 23/100 🌺🌿🌼One of the things I'm loving about this project so far is how often I've started a design with something in mind and ended up with something completely different. That's obviously not unique to my project or to art in general, but I was feeling so trapped by schedules that I had gotten to a point where I felt like I needed to have a new design completely mapped out before even starting it. The freedom to just play has been SO GOOD for me. What have you found that works to break your mindset when you feel trapped?

Dreamer No 22/100 is for taking with you on all your adventures 🌎🌍🌏. I’ve actually had this design in my shop for a long time but I FINALLY got around to designing a hanging loop that works with my style that can attach to a mirror (or anywhere else you’d like to hang a dreamer). Scroll down to see how the clasp works 👍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where would you want to take this dreamer? I’ve got my heart set on a summer road trip to Banff 🌲🌲🌲

Dreamer No. 21/100 rounds out the petite botanical trio with some grassy leaves! This set may be simple, but feels so fresh and airy. 🌿🌿🌿 Scroll down to see No 21 by itself and let me know what you think of this set! Would you use these as favors for a springtime shower or wedding? Or as a sweet little reminder of spring by your desk or in your home? Do you want to see something like this but with feathers too? What do you think?!

Some tiered dreamcatcher action for Dreamer No. 20/100. I haven't done very many tiered dreamers in my life and I'm not entirely sure why, but this was fun! Plus it gave me a chance to use my favorite fabric ever (this gorgeous velvet flocked black and cream upholstery fabric that I've never been able to find again 😩). Let me know what you think! Do you like the ring sizes as they are (5", 4", 3") or do you wish they were bigger? ⠀
]]>
Dreamer No. 19/100 is a dreamcatcher garland! I used my jewel tone palette of rose, plum, teal, and midnight blue with copper glitter twine, wooden beads, guinea feathers, and a few gold hex beads to get juuust a bit of industrial chic in to give it some depth. What do you think?! I'd love to play around with this and see what other color/feather combos work. ⠀
]]>Dreamer No. 18/100: this happy little R is for my happy little Rory girl! 🌸🌸🌸 I know I keep coming back to these colors, but they're just so good! This piece was so much fun to make: I love the feather garland, I love the little stripes of color, I love the whole thing!😍 Frustratingly, it's one of those that is really difficult to photograph, so I hope all the details come through! ⠀
⠀
Let me know what you think! What colors would you want to see?

Dreamer No 16/100: This dreamer was a weird one for me. I was super excited to make tassels and use them in a design, and I LOVE the colors here, but I struggled to get the shape of the dreamer right, and I'm not sure I got it all the way there... I reworked this one probably 6 times before finally settling on this and I maybe should have just stuck the first iteration. But, it's close! And I'm always glad to play with a new material!
I'll definitely come back to the half wrapped hoop, the more minimalist style, and probably the tassels as well, so even if I'm not sure that I love the final product, it was a successful day in 100 Days of Dreamers!

Dreamer No 15/100 - in honor of the never ending winter we're currently suffering through, I made a wintery dreamer! Sort of :) Really it's just a dreamer full of warm neutrals and texture, but it's an update for an old style in my shop (ironically the original style was titled Dreamcatcher No. 15... I swear I didn't plan that) that I released as part of my very first Christmas collection. The original is pictured below and let me know what you think of the update!
]]>
Dreamer No 13/100: I went super simple for today's dreamer because 1. I need to pace myself a bit (100 days is a long time!) and 2. this is the first dreamer of a trio of botanical minis! (I'll show the whole trio together after I post the remaining two) Let me know what you think! I can totally see this sweet and simple little wreath as favors/decor at a springtime baby shower.

Dreamer No. 11/100 for 100 Days of Dreamers is minimalist, moody, and features my favorite industrial accent. Let's just say this mirrors my feelings about the Seattle spring (rain, rain, FLOWERS, more rain). Let me know what you think!
]]>
Dreamer No. 10/100 - aaand apparently we're all in on the greenery! So, I'll be honest, this one is my least favorite so far. I played with it for a long time and tried different accents and elements and it just never quite worked for me. There are pieces that I really love (like the half wrapped hoop) and I'm sure I'll come back to the climbing vine, but overall I struggled to figure this one out. But I definitely learned a lot from it, I'm glad I tried this design, and I'm very curious to see what you think!

Dreamer No. 9/100: one of my absolute favorite parts of this job is playing with colors so this was a total joy to make! It's not perfect (but what is?) - I love pom poms but they're kind of pain to get right and I'm not sure I would use the varied sizes if I made this again and the webbing detail is perhaps too subtle. But I love how it reminds me of a hot air balloon and I love how happy it is!
]]>
Dreamer No. 8/100. I think this is the biggest dreamcatcher I've ever made! I've always been drawn to more industrial elements in my work (like the copper pipe on which I usually build my larger dreamers and fiber hangings), but I've really been enjoying pushing myself into using branches and greenery and other natural accents! I'd love to know what you think! See more details in stories and on the blog and let me know your thoughts here in comments!

Day 7 of 100 Days of Dreamers! Back to the petite 2" size for today with a possible new dreamcatcher favor design! I've had requests in the past for these tiny dreamers with hanging elements, but for various reasons I've never actually designed one, so this was really fun! Let me know what you think! Would you use these as favors for your wedding or a baby shower?
]]>Dreamer No. 6/100 // I did a trio of dreamers for the 6th day of The 100 Day Project because I'd been wanting to do a set inspired by my jewel tone dreamer trio for a long time! My one regret (probably too strong a word...) is that I meant to use ivory lace as an accent on these dreamers but didn't realize until the very last step that I was out of lace . I used ivory yarn instead so that I wouldn't lose the depth and texture of the extra element, but I think I would like the lace better. You can see the detail better in stories and then let me know what you think! Lace or yarn?
]]>Dreamer No 5/100: back to the greenery today! I’ve definitely been drawn to this open and airy style lately. I think possibly because it reflects my hopes and goals for this project! I've been feeling frustrated and stuck a lot over the last few months with the challenges of building a business, raising a toddler, riding out algorithm changes (facebook, instagram, etsy even?!), and I really want to get back to a more creative and hopeful mindset. So far it's working! This past week was exhausting but exhilarating! How do you work through tough stretches in your life and business? I'd love to hear what works for you!
]]>
Dreamer No. 4/100 for #100daysofdreamers! I went soft and neutral for this one (and finally broke out of the greenery kick I was on. Is that good or bad? TBD...) and added a double ring for the dreamer center. I've been really into this style of layered, cascading feathers lately. What do you think? Do you like the look? Or do you prefer a more structured, clean style?
]]>
Dreamer No 3/100 - I scaled waaayy back today and made this wild little jungle of a dreamer. Apparently the greenery isn't gonna stop any time soon and I'm okay with that! I needed to make something smaller and simpler because yesterday was CRAZY (in case you missed my notes at the beginning - I'm working a day ahead in order to be able to photograph each dreamer in good light as I'm often making them late at night). Along with all the usual chaos, we also FINALLY painted our master bedroom! We only moved in 2 years ago . So that took some time. Anyway! This little guy! He's kind of a springtime cross between my petite favors and my feather wreath ornament. He's cute! He's wild! He's kind of got a mane!
Let me know what you think!

If you're doing #the100dayproject how was your day 1?
I’m super excited to share that I’m participating in The 100 Day Project this year! (learn more about it here) This is an amazing creative challenge to pick a theme or project and work on it every single day for 100 days - and this year I will be doing #100daysofdreamers.
I’ll be making and posting (here and on instagram) a new dreamcatcher inspired wall hanging every day starting tomorrow and I’ll talk more about my process and the inspiration and reasons for doing this project as we go along, but for now I’ll just post my rules:
1. Make a dreamer every day (as start to finish as possible)
2. It has to be a physical piece of art that is inspired by dreamcatchers in some way
3. Each piece has to have a new design element to set it apart from other styles (so a change of color isn’t enough to be a new and unique piece)
Are you doing a 100 day project this year? Have you done one in the past? I'd love to hear all about it and follow along with your projects too!
